HS BASKETBALL: NS Girls win back-to-back Schuylkill titles

POTTSVILLE – After a four-quarter dogfight, the North Schuylkill Spartans came out on top to win their second Schuylkill League Girls’ Basketball title in a row Friday night.
The Spartans faced the Olympians of Jim Thorpe at “The Mecca,” Martz Hall in Pottsville.

The two teams exchanged the lead several times, ending the first half tied at 26-apiece.
North Schuylkill took control in the second half, taking a 49-42 lead into the final quarter.

That lead would be extended in the fourth to a final score of 71-63.
