Horse defecates in Brockton street, starts fight

BROCKTON – A fight broke out in this Schuylkill Township village Thursday afternoon after a horse a Brockton man was riding relieved itself in the middle of Valley Street.

The incident happened just before 3:00pm in the 300 block of Valley Street in Brockton, when State Police at Frackville said William Kellet, 59, was riding his horse.

The horse defecated on the street outside Joseph Leskin’s house. Leskin, 69, began yelling at Kellet, leading to a brief verbal argument.

Kellet began cleaning up the fecal matter, and left to dump it in a field, when Leskin followed the man-on-horseback in a Kubota.

When Leskin caught up, a physical altercation ensued. Leskin struck Kellet in the face, troopers said, leading the altercation to the ground. Both parties suffered minor injuries in the scuffle.

Harassment charges were filed for the incident.
