Fire destroys Hegins Twp. home

HEGINS – A home in Hegins Township is destroyed after an overnight fire early Friday.
Firefighters from across the county were called to 469 West Mountain Road in the township just after 3:00am for a reported house fire.

Crews arrived to find the home well-involved, and a tanker task force was requested.
The home appeared to be a total loss.
Firefighters remained on scene as of 5:30am.

There was no word regarding injuries or a cause of the fire Friday morning.
Responding were firefighters from Hegins Valley, Pitman, Sacramento, Donaldson, Jolliet, Llewellyn, Pine Grove, Tremont, Gratz, Pillow, Gordon, and more, along with Hegins EMS and Hegins Township Police.
