Easton man threatened others with pipes in Delano
DELANO – Charges are pending against an Easton man after a disturbance in Delano Township.
Troopers from the Frackville barracks said they were called to the unit block of Lakeside Avenue in the village of Delano around 4:00am Saturday for a disturbance.
Police arrived to find 39-year-old Jonathan Fischer swinging pipes “in a menacing manner” in the middle of the roadway, they said.
The caller told troopers Fischer was going to attack them.
Troopers commanded Fischer to drop the pipes. He didn’t, and they attempted to take him into custody.
In the process, Fischer swung the pipes and kicked at the troopers.
Fischer was eventually taken into custody, and, troopers said, appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic.
He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill for medical treatment, and charges are pending.
