Culinary incident draws firefighters to S. Jardin

KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - Shenandoah's Phoenix Engine 64-12 sits outside 38 South Jardin Street.
SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah firefighters were called to a home on South Jardin Street for a reported house fire early Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to the 38 South Jardin around 1:45am.
Within minutes crews from Shenandoah’s Phoenix, Rescue Hook and Ladder, and Columbia fire companies were on scene.

Asst. Chief Rick Examitas said the fire was a culinary incident, and minor damage was reported in the kitchen.
No one was hurt, he said.
All units were clear of the scene by 2:15am.
Assisting Shenandoah Fire was Shenandoah Ambulance and Shenandoah Police.
