Culinary incident creates smoke condition, draws fire response to Tamaqua high rise
TAMAQUA – Firefighters responded to the county’s tallest building Friday afternoon after a fire alarm sounded.
Fire crews were called to the ABC High Rise on East Broad Street around 4:30pm for an automatic fire alarm call.
Fire officials said a culinary incident created a smoke condition, which triggered the smoke detectors in a hallway, alerting the fire department.
No one was injured, and the building was ventilated.
