Borough Police to get body cameras
SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah police officers will soon have body cameras while on patrol.
Borough Manager Tony Sajone said at Monday’s council meeting that the borough received a quote for four body cameras at a cost of $17,000 over five years.
He said that the cost will be covered by a grant from the Tom and Pam Twardzik Family Foundation.
Earlier this month, Council President Joe Boris suggested looking into getting body cameras for the department.
Sajone said the cameras have been ordered.
