Borough man leads troopers on pursuit through area, caught in Ashland
SHENANDOAH – A borough man is facing charges after troopers say he led them on a pursuit from Girardville to William Penn Monday.
The pursuit began around 11:00am when troopers attempted to stop a man, Christopher Buck, 33, of Shenandoah, in Girardville.
Buck took off at a high rate of speed, leading police through Lost Creek and William Penn before troopers ended the pursuit via a PIT maneuver.
Buck fled into the woods and multiple police agencies converged, including a State Police Helicopter, which a photo circulating on social media showed it on the ground at the Shenandoah Youth Soccer Association complex.
Later, Buck was taken into custody in Ashland and arraigned by on-call magistrate David Plachko and committed to county prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
