Borough firefighters called to trash fire in Turkey Run

TURKEY RUN – Firefighters from Shenandoah’s Rescue Hook and Ladder and Columbia fire companies tackled a trash fire in this section of the borough Wednesday night.
Crews were called to 203 Furnace Street at 9:59pm after borough police spotted a burning pile of trash in the backyard of the home.
Officers requested a fire engine to the scene, and Telesqurt 64-20 and Engine 64-10 responded to the scene.
The fire was promptly extinguished, and firefighters were clear of the scene in short order.
