Borough fire department, EMS receive $80k in grants

SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah’s emergency services received a combined $80,000 in grants, the Office of the State Fire Commissioner announced recently.

According to the fire commissioner, funds can be used for facilities, training, equipment, or debt reduction, among other things.

Four of Shenandoah’s five fire companies received grants this year, along with Shenandoah Ambulance.
