Apparent bomb threat closes Turkey Hill downtown
SHENANDOAH – A State Police explosive-sniffing dog was called to the Turkey Hill convenience store in downtown Shenandoah after an apparent bomb threat.
A heavy police presence was seen at the store on South Main Street around 5:30pm Monday afternoon.
Troopers alerted would-be customers that the store was closed, as employees were evacuated.
Around 6:30pm, a State Police K9 unit arrived on scene, whose handler wore a polo reading “Explosive K9 Handler.”
The K9 unit swept the Turkey Hill property and troopers cleared the scene shortly after.
Troopers at the scene would not provide any further details and said a press release would be issued.
