$330,000 awarded to northern Schuylkill fire companies and EMS providers

SHENANDOAH – Northern Schuylkill fire and EMS providers were recently awarded grants through the state’s Fire Company, Emergency Medical Service Grant Program, totaling over $330,000 for our region.
According to the Office of the State Fire Commissioner, “The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program makes an annual grant program available for volunteer and career fire companies, emergency medical services and rescue squads. The program provides grant eligibility information and makes an on-line grant application available for all eligible applicants.”
Eligible organizations are all fire companies and EMS providers, as well as volunteer rescue squads. Eligible projects include debt reduction, training, and facilities.
