Tractor trailer rips wire down on N. Gilbert, again

Security camera footage shows a tractor trailer brings a telecommunications wire down on North Gilbert Street in Shenandoah.

SHENANDOAH – Another tractor trailer found its way onto North Gilbert Street on Shenandoah’s west end and downed wires on its way to Route 54.

Around 9:30am, a tractor trailer from Blessings of Hope, Leola, ripped a telecommunications line off a home at 28 North Gilbert Street.

A fire chief was called to the scene to verify the type of wire and remove it from the roadway.

No damage was evident to the home, truck, or any parked vehicles nearby.

In March of 2020, a Ryder Logistics Freightliner travelled down North Gilbert and ripped wires down from 28 and 30 North Gilbert, damaging the porch roof of 28.
