NORTHERN SCHUYLKILL – The following is a compilation of police incidents in and around the northern Schuylkill area, handled by the Pennsylvania State Police.

Wheeled loader swiped in Delano

DELANO TWP. – A Komatsu wheeled loader was swiped from a business in the village of Delano.

State Police at Frackville said the theft happened between July 9 and July 14 at Carbonite Filters Corporation in the village.

$1,000 stolen from debit card in lost wallet

GIRARDVILLE – A Girardville woman is out $1,000 after someone swiped her lost wallet and used her debit card.

The incident was reported on Friday. Troopers said a 26-year-old Girardville woman dropped her wallet in the 100 block of C Street, and unknown actors took it.

Those actors charged a little over $1,000 to the debit card.

Frackville man uninjured in Delano crash

DELANO TWP. – A Frackville man was injured when he struck a traffic sign in this township Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 10:00am in the area of Grier Avenue and Bernhard Road, troopers from the Frackville barracks said.

Troopers said George Hartz, 64, of Frackville was headed south on Grier Avenue in a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire when he became distracted and drove off the roadway on the right-hand shoulder.

There, he struck a traffic sign.

Hartz was uninjured, and the vehicle was towed by Hope’s Towing.

Barnesville woman swindled out of $650 via Facebook

RYAN TWP. – $650 was stolen from a Barnesville woman after someone on Facebook offered to sell a $1000 gift card for that price.

Troopers said the incident happened on July 25 around 3:00pm, when the 57-year-old woman made a $650 Venmo payment to the person she had met via Facebook messenger.

Following the payment, no gift card was received.

Ashland man found with drugs on traffic stop

GIRARDVILLE – Charges are pending against an Ashland man who was found with methamphetamine after a traffic stop in this borough.

The stop happened around 1:00am Monday at East Mahanoy Avenue and Vine Streets in the borough.

Troopers stopped 47-year-old Patrick Teske, of Ashland, for a traffic violation.

Teske admitted to having methamphetamine, which was found after a probable cause search, troopers said.

Two charged in Cass Twp. property dispute-turned-shoving match

CASS TWP. – A pair of septuagenarians in this township are facing charges after a property dispute turned into a shoving match on July 23.

The incident happened around 9:30am in the unit block of Low Road, when Jack Spirko, 70, and Evelyn Wallace, 77, engaged in a physical altercation involving pushing and shoving.

This followed a property dispute, troopers said.

Both were charged accordingly, troopers said.
