Driver flips car, flees scene in Nuremberg

NUREMBERG – The driver of a flipped Volkswagen was nowhere to be found when emergency services arrived at the crash scene late Sunday night.

The crash happened on Nuremberg Mountain Road around 11:30pm Sunday, when State Police at Hazleton were called for a single vehicle crash.

Troopers arrived to find a 2020 Volkswagen Golf down an embankment, propped up against a tree.

Troopers said the vehicle was headed south on Nuremberg Mountain Road, bound for the village, left its lane of travel and entered a grassy area before descending the embankment.

No occupant of the vehicle was present, nor were any witnesses.

State Police were assisted at the scene by Nuremberg-Weston Fire and Falzone’s Towing.
