PSP: Haven woman slashed man with machete
WAYNE TWP. – A 35-year-old Schuylkill Haven woman is accused of slashing a man with an 18″ machete during a domestic dispute on June 1.
The incident happened around 1:30am on June 1 on Route 183 in Wayne Township, when state troopers from Schuylkill Haven were called for a domestic incident.
Troopers said 35-year-old Jennifer Schreckengost and a 44-year-old man were engaged in a verbal altercation which turned physical.
That’s when troopers said Schreckengost slashed the man with an 18″ machete, causing a 4″ laceration to the man’s arm.
The man fled to seek medical attention before troopers arrived, and Schreckengost was taken into custody.
She was charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment.
She was arraigned by an on-call Magisterial District Judge and released on bail.
