SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah’s three parks will reopen as Schuylkill County moves to the yellow phase of Governor Tom Wolf’s plan to reopen the Commonwealth.

The parks — Vine Street, Bicentennial, and Girard — closed at the beginning of April when the borough declared a state of emergency related to the coronavirus outbreak.

Mayor Andrew J. Szczyglak announced the reopening Thursday.

The parks within the borough of Shenandoah will reopen on Friday 29 May 2020 with the county going to the yellow phase,” Szczyglak’s office announced. “We ask that you still practice social distancing and continue wearing masks.”

Schuylkill County moves to the yellow phase at 12:01am Friday.
