Arnots Addition man arrested for tire theft
ARNOTS ADDITION – A man from this New Castle Township village is facing charges after state police say he stole six tires from his workplace, CJ Tire.
State Police at Frackville said CJ Tire, Schuylkill Haven, reported tires missing from their inventory, noting they suspected an employee had stolen them.
The employee, later identified as Joseph Darker, of the 100 block of Broad Street, Arnots Addition, drove a GPS-monitored company car while making deliveries Friday, as a company representative followed him.
Darker was then seen dropping off two new tires at his home, troopers said.
State troopers were called, and Darker was interviewed.
Troopers said he had taken six tires over “a brief time” to re-sell for profit.
