Shenandoah to host Schuylkill County Band next year

SHENANDOAH – Mark your calendars, the best scholastic musicians in Schuylkill County are coming to the heart of the anthracite next year.

Shenandoah Valley High School and band director John Shoener will host the festival next February 25-27.

The festival brings together public, charter, and parochial school students from across Schuylkill County.

It’ll be the second major festival hosted at Shenandoah Valley under Shoener’s tenure. Jr. Schuylkill County Band was in town in 2024. Shenandoah Valley also hosted PMEA District 10 Orchestra in 2017 under former director Wally Choplick.

This year’s event was at Tamaqua Area High School.
