Aqua sets up portable water truck at Borough Hall, provides update on repair efforts

SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah-area water customers can stop by borough hall on West Washington Street for potable water as Aqua works to repair leaks in town.

Water customers in the borough and surrounding valley have had low water pressure for the past day or so, if they’ve had water service at all.

An Aqua Pennsylvania spokesperson said “the issue stems from the recent extreme cold and subsequent leaks to the water system.”

“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience and understanding,” the spokesperson added. “Aqua is working diligently to resolve this issue.”

A boil water advisory remains in effect for those who still have water service.

For those without, a water truck is set up at borough hall. Bring your own jugs or containers.
