Four get disorderly conduct charges, one flees over noise disturbance
WEST HAZLETON – Four people are facing charges after a noise disturbance late Monday night.
This was on Washington Avenue in West Hazleton around 11:30pm.
Officers were received multiple calls of loud music and arrived to find a group playing music “at an unreasonable volume and loudly shouting.”
“The loud music and shouting was causing a neighborhood disturbance and annoyance,” police said. “During the course of this incident, members of the group ignored orders to cease their disorderly behavior.”
A man was taken into custody prompting multiple people to shout at responding officers, according to West Hazleton Police.
In total, four people were taken into custody and charged. Three were charged with disorderly conduct: Arlington Santos-Bonifacio, 31, Merely Francisco-Lantigua, 28, and Morelia Francisco-Lantigua, 30, all of West Hazleton.
Another person was taken into custody on evading arrest charges, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Their name was not released.
Additional arrests are expected as well, police said.
