BOYS BASKETBALL: Zawada, Yedsena named to 2025 All-State team

MAHANOY CITY – Two outstanding Mahanoy Area senior basketball players received all-state honors as part of the 2024-25 Pennsylvania Sportswriters’ All-State Awards.
The teams were announced Sunday and Tanner Zawada and Jace Yedsena were named to the 3A Third Team.
Yedsena is bound for Susquehanna while Zawada is bound for Kutztown.
The two were part of back-to-back District XI titles for the Golden Bears and the team went 21-5 this year. Yedsena averaged more than 18 points per game while Zawada averaged 17 points per game.
