Saint Clair PD to hold first community safety night

SAINT CLAIR – The Saint Clair Police Department is hosting their first annual Community Safety Night in a few weeks.

It’s set for Sept. 11 from 5pm to 7pm at the Saint Clair Elementary/Middle School.

The event is open to the public and the police department says it aims to strengthen the bond between community members and local safety and wellness organizations.

“We’re thrilled to bring this event to our community and offer a space where residents can interact with those dedicated to their safety. It’s going to be a great evening of learning and connecting, and we hope to see everyone there,” Chief William Dempsey said.

Several local first responders and community organizations will be there, including the Pottsville Bureau of Fire, who will conduct a drone demonstration, and the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, with a K-9 demonstration.

The Saint Clair Fire Department and Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Office will also be there, along with CHAR-WILLS German Shepherd Rescue, which will have a registered therapy dog on-site, among many other community organizations.
