Borough adjusts office hours, hires full-time office worker
SHENANDOAH – You now have two extra hours to stop by borough hall in the daytime.
Council President Joe Boris said at Monday night’s council meeting that, effective Tuesday, the hours are 9am to 3pm, adding an hour to the beginning and end of the workday.
“We’ll see how that goes,” Boris said. “I will oversee to see how things are working out, and if we need to increase [the hours,] we will do so.”
Council also approved the hiring of Arielle Garcia as a full-time office worker.
In other business, Boris said he explored options with local banks to try to maximize interest rates for the proceeds from the sale of the water authority.
Council also approved the installation of insulation at the borough garage near Bicentennial Park.
