PSP: DUI charges pending after crash in Frackville
FRACKVILLE – DUI charges are pending against a Frackville man after state troopers say he rear-ended another vehicle that was preparing to park Monday.
State Police at Frackville released information on this crash Sunday evening.
Troopers said Thomas Halon, 64, of Frackville, was headed north on South Nice Street near Oak Street in a 2012 Nissan Rogue.
He was behind a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 52-year-old Jennine Teter, of Frackville, who had two teenage passengers.
Teter slowed down to pull into her parking spot when her vehicle was struck by Halon’s.
The airbag in Halon’s vehicle deployed and no one involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt, troopers said.
Trooper Dominic Viscomi said in the release that he believed Halon was under the influence of alcohol and DUI charges are pending.
Those charges had not been filed as of Sunday.
No injuries were reported and Halon’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
