Woman taken to hospital after downtown crash

SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah woman was taken to a Pottsville hospital after police say she struck a parked car downtown Tuesday.
The crash happened on South Main Street near Laurel Street around 3:45pm.
According to the State Police at Frackville, Joanna Ortiz Gonzalez, 48, of Shenandoah, was headed north in a Toyota Corolla.
Troopers said she lost control of the vehicle and struck a legally parked Toyota Corolla.
She was wearing her seatbelt and was taken to a Pottsville hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Her vehicle was towed by Steve’s Towing.
