Woman facing child endangerment charges in Girardville
GIRARDVILLE – A woman is facing charges for leaving several children without supervision in this borough after a child welfare check.
Girardville Police said they responded to the unit block of West Ogden Street after neighbors requested a child welfare check.
Police arrived to find several children, from 13-months to eight years old, without adult or competent supervision.
Children and Youth Services were contacted, and caseworkers arrived and determined the need for emergency placement.
While authorities facilitated such placement, the mother arrived home.
She, whose name was not released, is facing five misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
