Western PA man suspected of DUI in Zion Grove crash

ZION GROVE – A man from Somerset County was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash in this North Union Township village last Tuesday.

State Police at Frackville released details on the crash today.

Troopers said, around 9:30pm, 53-year-old Michael Cominsky, of Windber, Somerset County, was headed north on Catawissa Creek Road, Route 339, in a 2018 Toyota Tundra.

Just north of the Ringtown Road intersection, Cominsky lost control of the pickup and ran off the east side of the road, striking a guiderail.

The Tundra was disabled after the crash, and troopers said Cominsky was displaying signs of intoxication.

He was taken into custody under suspicion of DUI. As of Wednesday, charges have not yet been filed.
