West Mahanoy approves 2024 budget with no tax increase

SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – West Mahanoy Township’s property taxes are staying the same for the 12th year in a row.
Township Supervisors approved the 2024 budget at Tuesday night’s regular meeting.
The budget has revenue and expenses of $2.041 Million and keeps taxes at 7.15 mills.
The tax rate has not changed since 2012, when taxes rose by two mills.
In other business, the township will hold a hearing on Feb. 20 to consider a request to transfer a liquor license to the auto museum on Eleanor Road in the Altamont section.
