Wanted borough man, Kaska woman lead PSP on pursuit in Luzerne
HAZLE TWP., Luzerne County – A Shenandoah man and Kaska woman are both in Luzerne County Prison after leading State Police on a chase in Luzerne County.
Around 2:00am Saturday morning, State Police at Hazleton were on patrol in the area of Routes 424 and 93 when they attempted to stop a 2000 Jeep Cherokee for a vehicle code violation.
The Jeep fled, leading troopers on a pursuit until the driver, identified as Heather Marie Bowden, 33, of Kaska, lost control and hit a pole.
Bowden and passenger Jason Michael Oshman, 33, of Shenandoah, were taken into custody at the scene, as both had active arrest warrants.
Troopers also said Bowden was driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Troopers searched the Jeep, finding methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Bowden was charged with felony flight, and feeling and eluding, as well as a slew of misdemeanor drug charges and summary traffic violations. She was committed to Luzerne County Prison, unable to post $10,000 bail.
Oshman was taken into custody on the warrant.
