VOTE: Shenandoah staple in final for ‘Coolest Thing Made in Pa.’
SHENANDOAH – Is the Coolest Thing Made in Pennsylvania a Shenandoah staple you can find not only here, but nationwide, or is it a sandwich shop no closer than an hour to us?
Our town’s own Mrs. T’s Pierogies defeated Pottsville’s Yuengling Lager to make the final of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry’s March Madness-style bracket competition.
Voting for the championship round runs until 8pm Monday as Mrs. T’s faces Primanti Bros., of Pittsburgh.
Their nearest locations are nowhere close to Shenandoah — in Hershey, Lancaster, and Dickson City — while Mrs. T’s are available anywhere groceries are sold locally. They are also available in many locations nationally.
If you have a Twitter account, you can vote for our hometown product at the link below.
As of 2pm, Primanti had a 50.7% to 49.3% advantage with 1,190 votes cast.
