Utility pole falls, hits Heights home

SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – A utility pole fell and struck the roof of a building in this West Mahanoy Township village Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the home at 317 Pennsylvania Avenue around 3:30pm for the pole down.
As of Sunday evening, the pole was leaning against the home and caused minor damage to the roof.
A PPL Electric Utilities crew was on scene.
It is not clear what caused the pole to come down.
