Two vehicles rummaged through in Altamont; State Police investigating
Sentinel Staff Reports
ALTAMONT – State Police at Frackville are investigating a theft from a vehicle which occurred last Thursday, where troopers say dog medication and $5 in quarters were stolen from a pair of vehicles.
The incident occurred at the rear of 219 North Broad Mountain Avenue in the Altamont section of West Mahanoy Township on May 30, when a 51-year-old man went out to his vehicle to leave for work and noticed his center console was open, and the vehicle, a 2007 Ford XL, had been rummaged through.
He walked over to his 2013 Ford Edge, finding the crossover unlocked and in the same state as the XL, with an open console and signs it had been rummaged through.
$5 worth of quarters and a bottle of prescription dog medication was missing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Andrew Moyer at the Frackville barracks, 570-874-5300.
