Two injured in Route 924 crash north of town

SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – Two people were taken to the hospital and another took off after a crash on Route 924 north of Shenandoah Heights early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just before 1am on Route 924 just north of the Tastee Freeze.
A Honda sedan was headed north on Route 924 when a Chevrolet van struck the sedan head-on.
The van rolled and the driver freed themselves and fled the scene, West Mahanoy Township police at the scene said.

Two occupants in the sedan were taken by Shenandoah Ambulance to a local hospital.
The vehicles were towed by Steve’s Towing, of Shenandoah.
Route 924 was closed between the Brandonville/Pattersonville wye and Shenandoah Heights.
Firefighters from Shenandoah Heights and Ringtown responded for traffic control.
