Two firefighters injured, four displaced in second Shenandoah alleyway fire in a week
SHENANDOAH – Flames destroyed another alleyway home, the second in a week, as the Shenandoah Valley dealt with bitter cold temperatures this morning.
The fire broke out around 6am in the 200 block of West New York Street.
Shenandoah Fire Chief Rick Examitas told the Sentinel four people were displaced and being assisted by the American Red Cross.
Two firefighters were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries.
The cause of the blaze was ruled accidental and was investigated by a State Police fire marshal.
