Tuscarora closed to swimming

BARNESVILLE – Swimmers have one less option in our area, at least for now.
The beach at the Tuscarora State Park is closed to swimming for the second time this summer due to unacceptable water sample results.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced the closure Thursday.
As a precaution, the beach will remain closed until acceptable water samples are received.
Other activities at Tuscarora State Park, such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.
