Troopers seek axe-wielding road rage suspect
FRACKVILLE – State troopers are seeking a man they say threatened another driver with an axe late last month.
State Police at Frackville said in a release issued Monday they were called to Frackville borough for a road rage incident on Dec. 27 around 3:42pm.
Troopers said a Slatington man was headed northbound on Route 61 in New Castle Township when a man in a white Kia SUV was travelling behind him.
That man then started waving an axe out the window at the caller.
At the red light at Route 61 and Spring Street, the suspect got out of his car and started approaching the victim’s car holding the axe in the air. The victim then fled.
Troopers said the suspect is described as a white man, about 6′ tall with a “chunky” build, short dark hair, possibly facial hair, and glasses. His vehicle is described as a white Kia SUV.
