Tire failure sends SUV into utility pole in Brandonville

BRANDONVILLE – A Shenandoah woman escaped injury when state troopers said a tire failed on her SUV, causing it to veer into a utility pole Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 8:30am on Main Boulevard (Route 924) between Park Avenue and Pole Road.
State Police at Frackville said Arianna Mentusky, 24, of Shenandoah, was travelling on Main Boulevard in a 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer when a tire failed.
The SUV veered off the highway, hitting a utility pole and coming to a rest broadside in the road.

Mentusky was wearing her seatbelt and was evaluated at the scene by Frackville EMS and was not hurt.
Troopers said she received a warning for the crash.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing.
Also responding were firefighters from Sheppton-Oneida and Ryan Township.
