Three escape injury in downtown Shenandoah crash

KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - This Honda Civic and the Ford F150 and camper seen in the background collided Thursday evening, borough police said.
SHENANDOAH – Three people escaped injury when borough police said a pickup truck towing a camper lost its brakes and struck a sedan on North Main Street.
The crash happened around 7:30pm in the 100 block of North Main.
Borough Police at the scene said a Ford F150 pickup truck was towing a camper and headed south on Main Street.

As the pickup approached the red light at Coal Street, police said its brakes failed and the driver veered into the oncoming lane to avoid traffic stopped for the light.
A Honda Civic was headed north on Main Street at the time and attempted to avoid the truck. The sedan was struck broadside and came to a rest on the sidewalk.
No one was injured in the crash, and the vehicles were towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing and Talk of Town Towing, both of Shenandoah.
