Three arrested on drug charges in Mahanoy City

MAHANOY CITY – Just after midnight Tuesday, Mahanoy City Police arrested a borough resident and two Luzerne County residents on drug charges.
According to police, Kevin Gazdziak, 27, of Hazle Township, Sierra Treichler, 21, of Conyngham, and Ryan Seigel, 31, of Mahanoy City, were arrested by police and charged by Patrolman Thomas Rentschler with multiple drug crimes in the 700 block of East Centre Street
Those crimes, for all three, included Possession with felony Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Gadziak was additionally charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance.
Officers also seized over 150 bags of heroin, ten grams of methamphetamine, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
All three were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
