SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah’s tentative 2020 budget, approved Monday evening, sees no tax increase for borough residents again.
The budget, if approved at council’s next meeting, will keep the borough’s property tax rate at 27 mills.
Shenandoah last raised its property tax rate for the 2016 budget, from 25 mills to its current rate.
One mill is equal to a dollar for every $1,000 in assessed value of a property.
Shenandoah’s next borough council meeting is Thursday, Dec. 19 at 6:00pm.
