TEENER BASEBALL: Frackville falls to Schuylkill Valley comeback in extras, 5-4
MIDDLEPORT – A thrilling conclusion bookended Frackville’s game and season, and the Sentinel’s teener season in Monday’s Schuylkill County Teener League Senior Division semifinal.
The #7-seeded Frackville squad (9-8) traveled to Middleport to face #6-seeded Schuylkill Valley (11-6) in the semifinal.
The early game advantage was Frackville’s, taking an early 3-1 lead after two innings.
Much of the game would be a defensive battle, with runs coming few and far between.
Schuylkill Valley rallied back late to tie the game, sending it to an extra inning, where it was decided 5-4.
Frackville finishes their season with an even 9-9 record, while Schuylkill Valley moves on to face the winner of the Schuylkill Haven at Hegins game in a best-of-3 final.
Frackville was the last team remaining in the Sentinel‘s coverage area in either the junior or senior divisions of the Teener League.
