SHENANDOAH – Since 2016, Shenandoah Valley High School has recognized the men and women from the Shenandoah area who went on to become State Troopers, many of whom graduated from the school or its predecessors.

Recently, the plaque received two new names: Adam Sajone and William Moyer, both Shenandoah Valley graduates, from 2014 and 2012 respectively.

The two first served together as Shenandoah Borough Police officers before attending the State Police academy.

The plaque was commemorated in June of 2016, honoring then-52 men and women who had become troopers.

Since then, five more names have been added, recognizing graduates from Shenandoah Valley, its predecessor Shenandoah and West Mahanoy Township high schools, and from area parochial schools.
