Maggie Shustack has been on the school board for 19 years and, Dan Salvadore, board president, said Monday’s would be her last meeting on the board.

“That is thousands of hours dedicated to the students of this school district, their wellbeing, the classes, the financial wellbeing of this school district,” Salvadore said of her service. “I can honestly say it’s been a pleasure and my privilege to work with Maggie.”

“This board is going to miss her immensely,” Salvadore said before presenting Shustack with an award recognizing her years of service.

Superintendent Brian Waite also commended Shustack.

“Mrs. Shustack, in my short six years, has been very dedicated to the district. Always actively involved, always engaged in what’s going on, and understanding what is happening within the district,” Waite said. “Questioning moves and decisions that are made, for the betterment of the stakeholders in the district, the students in our districts.”
