Streets Dept. takes down trees set to be replaced later this week

SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah Streets Dept. workers were downtown Monday, cutting down two trees at Main and Centre Streets.

The trees are going to be replaced later this week with new trees through the Bare Root Tree Program.

Three trees will be planted in Shenandoah, along with trees in Pottsville, Orwigsburg, and at Sweet Arrow Lake.
