State Police Troop L releases fatal crash results for 2017

READING, Berks County – Reading-based State Police Troop L, which covers Schuylkill County, released statistics from fatal crashes state troopers investigated in 2017.
Troopers from the five stations which encompass Troop L investigated 42 fatal accidents which claimed the lives of 46 across Berks, Lebanon, and Schuylkill County.
According to troopers, 15 of those crashes were within Schuylkill County, resulting in 17 fatalities. Troopers noted that, in six such incidents in the county, occupants were not seatbelted, and troopers continue to urge all to wear their seatbelt when travelling in a vehicle.
The statistics released by state police only pertain to accidents investigated by troopers. Accidents which were investigated by a local police department were not included.
