State Police investigating death in Girardville

GIRARDVILLE – State Police at Frackville are investigating the death of a 67-year old Girardville man.
Around 2:00pm Wednesday, troopers were called to North Second Street in the borough, where the man was found deceased at his home.
Family members found the man in his home after they attempted to call him but could not reach him.
Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak pronounced the man, whose name has not been released, deceased, and next of kin was notified.
Troopers at the Frackville barracks are continuing their investigation into the matter.
