State Police investigating Altamont burglary

ALTAMONT – State Police are seeking an alleged burglar who they say was chased by a neighbor through this West Mahanoy Township village.
State Police at Frackville said they were called to 154 Spencer Street around 4:30pm for a reported burglary in progress.
The victim, who was out of the area, saw an intruder in his basement on surveillance video and asked his neighbor to check the home.
That neighbor then saw the suspect fleeing the home and gave chase, eventually losing the bandit.
The burglar is described as 5’8-5’9″ with a slender build, wearing black and white Nike sneakers with black pants and a black sweatshirt. The sweatshirt had a red logo on the front.
