Shenandoah woman hit crossing Chestnut Street
SHENANDOAH – One Shenandoah woman was cited when state troopers say she struck another Shenandoah woman over the weekend.
According to the State Police at Frackville, the crash happened around 3:45pm Saturday at Chestnut and Cherry Streets.
Troopers said Julann Kowalski, 33, of Shenandoah, was stopped at the stop sign on Cherry Street. She was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
An 81-year-old Shenandoah woman was crossing Chestnut Street on the south side of the intersection.
Troopers said Kowalski turned onto Chestnut and struck the woman.
She was taken to a Pottsville hospital with injuries.
Kowalski was cited for the crash.
