Shenandoah woman announces bid for Schuylkill County Coroner
MICQUELYNN KAPUSCHINSKY / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - Dr. Anne Cadau, holding the microphone, announces her bid for Schuylkill County Coroner on Jan. 17, 2026.
SHENANDOAH – The office of Schuylkill County Coroner isn’t up for election until next year, but a local candidate is already throwing her hat in the ring.
Dr. Anne Cadau, of Shenandoah, announced her candidacy Saturday at an event at the Columbia Hose firehouse.
A lifelong physician and public servant, she is a staff physician at Geisinger in Frackville, serves on the Shenandoah Valley School Board, and is a current deputy coroner.
“The role of the Coroner is a sacred trust,” says Dr. Cadau. “It requires not only the medical acumen to provide answers in difficult times but also the compassion to support families during their most painful moments. My career has been defined by serving the people of Pennsylvania, and I am ready to bring that experience to the service of all Schuylkill County residents.”
She has also served as President of the Berks County Medical Society and Co-Medical Director for multi-site healthcare facilities.
If elected, Cadau says she will be a “working coroner” who is accessible to the public and professional peers alike.
